Prevent Child Abuse Arizona knew that the website would fulfill a need to coordinate family service providers, Triple P courses and classes, and parents; however, since releasing the website, the results have revealed how truly needed the website was.
For example, an accredited Triple P practitioner recently moved to Patagonia, AZ from the state of Washington where she provided Triple P through the state’s Department of Social and Health Services Children’s Administration. After moving to Arizona, she found Prevent Child Abuse Arizona Triple P contact information on the new referral website, enabling her to become the first in-person Triple P service provider in Santa Cruz County included in the new website’s referral directory! Additionally, the new provider joined the monthly Implementation Support Zoom sessions that Prevent Child Abuse Arizona co-facilitates with Randy Ahn, Triple P America Implementation Consultant, to better support service providers in reaching families.
Not only has the website further supported providers, but it has nurtured increased demand for classes. Frances Holguin, the Triple P provider featured in our June 2021 Newsletter here, shared that her two stipend-supported courses were sold out within 36-hours – including 46 parents on the waitlist! This provides evidence for one of the goals of the website – to increase awareness of stipend-supported courses where Triple P providers are paid via stipend and parents have access to free classes. Previously, Triple P providers had a difficult time marketing their availability.
