Love. Family. Passion. That’s why Family Resource Center (FRC) professionals do their work.
On August 21, 120 professionals from the Arizona Family Resource Network (AZFRN)—our state’s network of 62 FRCs—came together for the 2nd Annual FRC Summit. The theme, “Anchored in Purpose, Navigating Change,” reflected the need to hold fast to our values while facing shifting political and economic tides.
The day was filled with learning, connection, and even a rock–paper–scissors throw-down.
Keynote speaker Dr. Nicol Russell reminded us to stay grounded in who we are and what we value, while workshops and open-space sessions sparked real-time conversations to advance our work.
“The keynote and activities reminded us of the power of partnerships, self-reflection, and collective action to create real change in our community,” one participant shared.
FRCs are hubs of support that help families access what they need – before crisis happens. When we invest in FRCs, we’re investing in an Arizona where families and children can live happy, purposeful lives filled with hope.
As Dr. Nadine Burke Harris recently said, “The work doesn’t always feel triumphant, so remember: the way we do this is together.”
Thank you for being in this work with us—and thank you to First Things First, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Mercy Care, and the Garcia Family Foundation for supporting the Summit.
